Norman Malone
Born in 1928 and died in 2020 suffered a paralyzed (could not use) right side of his body at age 5 after a violet attack
He lived in Chicago and attended DePaul University
He was a choir teacher with the Chicago Public Schools
He was a piano virtuoso before his injury and began to focus on how to play the piano with only the left hand after it
He finally performed Maurice Ravel’s For the Left Hand with the West Hartford Symphony Orchestra at the age of 79 after practicing the piece for 60 years
